Corrado Giuffredi

Winner of the First Prize to the Competition International "Saverio Mercadante" of Altamura and rewarded the "V. Bucchi" of Rome, since 1991 he is "Clarinetto solista" of the Orchestra of the Foundation Arthur Toscanini with which he has participated to the tournees in Germany, Russia, United States, Greece and Japan.

Regularly invited like solist from the Filarmonic Orchestra of the "Teatro alla Scala" of Milan with which it has participated, under the direction of the M° Riccardo Muti, to the tournees in Spain, Portugal, France, Greece, Japan, Switzerland, Germany, Denmark, Norway, Lebanon, Turkey, Argentine and Brasil. Collaborates moreover with the Orchestra of the National Academy of Santa Cecilia of Rome: of recent he has taken to part to the tournee in Japan with the M° Myung-Whun Chung.

It has made part of the Orchestra of the Bicentennial of Tricolour in occasion of the concert of Reggio Emilia directed from the M° Claudio Abbado and is host to regulate of the International Festival of Chamber music of Aschau im Chiemgau in Germany, where plays with prestigious artists like Alexander Lonquich, Michel Dalberto and the Salzburg Chamber Soloists.

Of relief the record activity: the Fantasies for clarinetto and pianoforte from works of Giuseppe Verdi, the quartets of Mercadante and Rossini with the "Rossini Quartet", the integral of music for winds instruments of Beethoven and the transcription of the Barber of Seville of Rossini with the Italian Ottetto, the two quintetti for pianoforte and winds instruments of Mozart and Beethoven with Michel Dalberto.
For the label Tactus (www.tactus.it) he recorded a CD with the music of A.Liverani in duo with the pianist Giuseppe F. Modugno. (First world recording). It has executed various "works first" between which the Concert for Clarinet and Orchestra of K. Penderecki under the direction of the same composer.

In 1999 it has participated to the evening of gala of the Clarinet Fest di Ostenda (Belgium) where year has been exhibited with Eddie Daniels. In 2003 has obtained alive appreciation to Tokyo and the Oklahoma University where it has held a recital with Larry Combs and one Master Class on Verdi’s music for clarinetto. From 2003 is "Clarinetto solista" of the Orchestra of Lugano.
