Alberto Bologni

Has graduated under the guide of Sandro Materassi "cum laude" to the Conservatory "L.Cherubini" of Florence. Subsequently he has achieved the diploma of solist to the Conservatory of Rotterdam in the class of Ilja Grubert; he has attended moreover the masterclasses of Stefan Gheorghiu in Italy, Switzerland and Germany.

In 1979 he has received from the Rotary Clubs of Florence, Atene, Vienna and Tours the Prize "Leonardo from Vinci", that marks him to the attention of the musical world. From then shining activity in the main Italian and European cities has undertaken one, repeatedly invited to play in the greater theatres and well knows Institutions.

Of particular relief its participation to the "musical Encounter" of the Festival of the Two Worlds of Spoleto in editions 1989, 1990 and 1992, the debut to the Herkulessaal of Monaco with the Muenchner Symphoniker and the tourneis in Rumania with the concerts of Ciajkovskij and Prokofiev.

It has been rewarded in the international competitions "Viotti" of Vercelli and "Spohr" of Friburgo. It has carried out radiotelevision recordings for the Hessischer Rundfunk, WDR Koeln, and record recordings for the Diapason of Florence, the ARTS and the Cristophorus.

It is first violin of the Quartet "Sandro Materassi" and first violin "solista" of the "Camerata Strumentale - Citta' di Prato".

He teaches Violin to the Istituto Musicale Pareggiato of Lucca and plays on a Santo Serafino, ex Brainin, dated "Venice 1734".
